The Night&Day seating system for Molteni & C attempts to push the boundaries of versatility and offers a new take on applying modular design thinking to furniture.The platform comes in a wide and tall version which when cushions are added form a sofa or a chair lounge. But there is one other feature. The cushions are sized to function as a single sized bed.
Multiple platforms can also be rearranged to function differently together and adapt to various sized spaces. The system can be ordered with a host of accessories like storage bins, tables, and some clever pouches with integrated reading lights that hold magazines, books, and newspapers.
A solution you could literally sleep, work, and relax on.
Night&Day is a smart interior design by Patricia Urquiola, usually furniture designed to create pieces that are specific to handle one task such as sitting, sleeping or storing. The HOK London Office
HOK London office is the first office space that established by the U.S. Green Building Council, the LEED Green Building Rating System is a voluntary international standard for developing high-performance, environmentally conscious buildings and interior spaces. This 20,000-square-foot building has achieved LEED Commercial Interiors (LEED-CI) Gold certification, the most recent of the architectural design firm’s 11 LEED-certified offices.

Integrated within the design are numerous sustainable materials, finishes and energy management solutions. “Our challenge was to achieve a high LEED rating within normal budgetary constraints for a commercial office interior. By applying the LEED certification to our own office, we have been able to demonstrate that environmentally conscious design can be affordable and achievable in commercial office spaces.” says the Head of Sustainable Architecture at HOK London, Shashi Narayanan.the open-plan layout of the green interior design incorporates numerous breakout and conference areas, creating an inspiring and collaborative atmosphere that allowing staff to work flexibly.
